Title : Improving Students’ Reading
Comprehension Through Mind Mapping

Review :
This study investigated the improving students’
reading comprehension through mind mapping technique. This study also showed
that students’ attitude in the classroom changed to be better by using mind
mapping technique. The researcher explained how to use mind mapping technique
in teaching and learning process.
The
method used in this research is action research method. The researcher used two
cycle and there were pre-test, post-test 1 and post-test 2. In
this classroom action research, the researcher collected the data using
qualitative and quantitative method. The researcher used pre-posttest in
quantitative method and used observation, interview, questionnaire, and
photograph taking in qualitative method.
The
data showed that there is an improvement in reading comprehension by
implementing mind mapping technique. It can be seen from the mean score of
pre-test, post-test 1, and post-test 2 that increased. The results from observation,
interview, questionnaire, and photograph taking also showed that the condition
and situation in classroom can be controlled and going better than before.
